I spent close to 30 minutes inside Geleia store located at the 4th level of Shangrila Mall East Wing looking for a perfect pair of ballet flats. In as much as I wanted to buy a pair of high-heeled shoes, I can't for the life of me walk in them!
The particular type of PVC that Melissa is made from is MELFLEX. This
was created by and is a registered trademark of Grendene S.A. located in
Brazil (the parent company of Melissa). Melflex is versatile, durable,
totally re-usable and extremely environmentally friendly with no heavy
materials in its formulation. Moreover the product is non-toxic,
hypo-allergenic, cruelty-free, void of animal products and extremely
comfortable on the feet as it is made with mineral salts based on
calcium zinc which is not aggressive to your health. PVC is considered
to be one of the most sustainable Thermoplastics available.
Melissa Jean + Jason Wu is so comfortable to wear. I wore it for two straight days and I didn't experience any pain at the back or at the sides of my feet. The cutout flats are perfect for taking long walks in this unpredictable weather condition.
