Aptly called The Dimsum Place, this is the newest restaurant that opened in Fisher Mall. My family and I went there a few Sundays ago to check it out. The signage (including font and color) and the restaurant's interior resemble that of the world's cheapest Michelin Star restaurant, Tim Ho Wan.
The Dimsum Place Fisher Mall |
Like all the other restaurants at Fisher Mall, The Dimsum Place has ample seating capacity. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately given our preferred table with couch seat. I felt more relaxed compared to when I was dining at Tim Ho Wan because there were no people eagerly waiting in line to get inside the restaurant.
Wonton Noodle Soup Php 160 |
My daughter has a love/hate relationship with rice. She will only eat rice when accompanied by soup. She could not finish the entire bowl. Can you guess who finished it? Yes, it was DH ; ) He loves noodle soup that sometimes I think that he orders noodle soup not for our daughter but for himself ; p
Baked Barbecue Pork Bun Php 120 |
Naturally, we would not miss ordering The Dimsum's Place's Baked Barbecue Pork Bun and eventually compared it with Tim Ho Wan's version. The latter wins hands down, the two are incomparable starting with the bun down to the taste of asado filing.

Steamed Vermicelli Rice Roll with Shrimps Php 170 |
Steamed Vermicelli Rice Roll with Shrimp and Steamed Shrimp Dumplings contained the same ingredients, the only difference is with the presentation.
*Php 190 at Tim Ho Wan
Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (hakao) Php 150 |
If I had to choose one over the other, I suggest you order Steamed Vermicelli Rice Roll with Shrimp instead just for variety. I find the wrapper of hakao to be thicker than usual so we ended up removing all of it.
*Php 160 at Tim Ho Wan
Xiao Long Bao (Steamed Soup Dumplings) Php 90 |
The soup inside Xiao Long Bao was contained all thanks to the thick wrapper used. The soup was still hot when I tore open the wrapper with my teeth. It was really good, I almost forgot to dip the entire thing in the black vinegar provided on the side.
Pork & Shrimp Siomai Php 100 |
My daughter learned to love siomai while we were vacationing in Singapore. When we got back, she would always ask the waitress for it no matter where we are.

Crispy Radish Cake Php 90 |
*Pan Fried Carrot Cake (3 pcs.) Php 145
Pan-Fried Asado Cake Php 90 |
Think of the outer crust of buchi with asado filling instead of bean paste, that's what you get with Pan-Fried Asado Cake. It used the same asado ingredient as with Baked Barbecue Pork Bun only this one is greasier because it was pan-fried.
Asado Rice |
As usual, we ordered way too much for 3 people. I was not able to eat my order of asado rice. Yes, asado again. Do not get me wrong. There were plenty of choices but I tend to gravitate towards my comfort food every freakin' time.
Baymax and my little girl |
And here's my little girl smiling for my camera. This was taken right after we had our lunch and before we had Razon's famous halo-halo. Yes, we always have room for dessert hehe
You can check out my Tim Ho Wan entries here and here.
The Dimsum Place is located at the 3rd Level of Fisher Mall in Quezon City.
